Get to Know Roto Farm

Powering on

Connect the USB-C cable from the back of Roto Farm to the AC adapter. Turn Roto Farm on or off via the power socket.

Lighting

The Sun+ grow light is on for 16 out of 24 hours, starting from when Roto Farm was last powered on. To reset the lights-on time, restart Roto Farm.

Water tank

It is recommended to fill the water tank to the Max line to displace any bubbles inside the system. Water tank is heavy when full. If unable to lift the water tank safely, fill the tank whilst it is attached to Roto Farm by removing the lid only and pouring water directly into it.

When re-attaching the water tank, push it in all the way to prevent leaking.

Rotation

Roto Farm slowly rotates 24/7. To stop rotation in the event of an emergency, unplug Roto Farm.

Ensure Roto Farm is placed on a level surface.

If lights are flashing red, Roto Farm is sitting on an unlevel surface, or it has fallen. While in this position, rotation stops and the water flow is shut off. Place Roto Farm on a level surface to resume normal functioning.

Ambient temperature and altitude

Roto Farm is rated to operate in rooms up to 40°C or 104°F and altitudes of up to 3,048 metres or 10,000 feet. High room temperatures may result in increased rate of water consumption, decreased light brightness and increased fan noise.

Cleaning

It is recommended to unplug Roto Farm to clean it. While Roto Farm is unplugged, the rotating carousel can be moved freely. Use a damp cloth to wipe underneath Plant Pads. Harsh cleaning chemicals may damage components and/or cause harm or death to plants inside Roto Farm.

Power

Roto Farm is powered by a 100W PD USB-C AC adapter using 20V 5A. Should water come into contact with the USB-C port, the USB-C cable or the power supply, Roto Farm may shut off and not be able to restart until water is completely dry, which may take several hours. To reset the AC adapter, unplug the USB-C cable from it and plug it back in.
